Hi there! I'm Jake. I currently live in my hometown of Alton, IL. with my beautiful wife and our two awesome children. In 2007, my wife and I moved to the West Coast and resided just outside of Portland, Oregon. Our daughter was born in 2013 and our son in 2016. We enjoyed all the beauty that the Pacific Northwest offered, but in 2024, after so many years away, we felt like it was time to be closer to family and returned home.
I am a 2013 Media Arts & Animation graduate from the Art Institute of Portland and I have focused my career in the digital world since that time. I am passionate about modeling and sculpting in all its forms. I enjoy the flexibility that CG lends the artist to work alongside a team or to explore and refine a piece of work on one's own. I love problem solving and I feel like as a 3D artist, it is my job to figure out the best way to resolve any issues that come my way.
I am named after my mom's favorite John Wayne movie, Big Jake. I love coaching my son's soccer team. I enjoy Stephen King novels, listening to Radiohead, and watching any movie with Tom Hanks in it. If any of that sounds good to you and you enjoy my work, please drop me a line!
